Balanced Insight was founded by professionals that have assisted some of the largest companies in the world build solutions for business intelligence, performance management, and information management; in addition to being innovators in the delivery of software products.

Balanced Insight was founded by Tom Hammergren known worldwide as an innovator, writer, educator, speaker and consultant in the field of business intelligence. Prior to Balanced Insight, Tom was the creative force behind the Information Packaging Methodology; and was instrumental in the creation and growth of Cognos’ Business Intelligence (PowerPlay & Impromptu), Sybase’s Warehouse Studio, and divine's Customer Interaction Management (Synchrony, eShare, Melita, delano, SoftMetric) product lines.

Abraham Fathman, who was instrumental in the delivery of one of the first Internet Architected applications in the marketplace in the late 1990’s at Synchrony Communications, Inc. joined Tom as a co-founder to lead the development of Balanced Insight Consensus® -- Balanced Insight's flagship product line.
